This scoping review investigates the extent to which service providers address the needs of homeless children, to help inform services in South Australia. It reviews the literature on the specific needs of homeless children, the impact of homelessness on children, policy changes relating to care for children in homelessness services in South Australia and elsewhere, and what works for children in predominately adult services, and gaps in the evidence. Children are an under-serviced client group in what are predominantly adult focused homelessness services, and more information is needed on the knowledge and capacity of workers to address their needs.
